Internal flooring solutions serve many purposes depending on the function of the building. The performance characteristics of mastic asphalt flooring are ideal for specification in internal flooring systems. Mastic asphalt flooring can provide a hard wearing and durable finishing solution or act as a damp proof membrane or underlay for tiles, carpeting or other flooring materials.

Mastic asphalt can be applied on a range of bases, concrete, timber boarding, metal floors or quarry tiles. These flooring solutions are suitable for domestic applications, but also hospitals, schools and commercial buildings with heavier foot traffic. Heavy duty flooring systems can be specified for industrial use with vehicular traffic such as warehouses, cold stores, factory floors and internal loading bays.

Mastic asphalt flooring is available in matt and polished finish, but some products feature exposed aggregates and can be used for striking visual impact. Mastic asphalt can act as moisture and also radon, methane and rodent barrier, making it ideal for internal flooring specification.

The fast installation and rapid curing times are suited for both new build and refurbishment buildings and the long life and low maintenance makes mastic asphalt a cost effective long term flooring solution.
