Anthony Carlyle, Managing Director of IKO Polymeric, took over the Chair of the Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA) from Mike Crook, who had held the office for the last four years. SPRA is the UK authority on single ply waterproofing. The organisation ensures standards of products and application are high, and it provides help and guidance to all users and specifiers of single ply roofing systems.
Anthony Carlyle has spent most of his career in the roofing industry, working for both manufacturers and contractors. In 2005 he joined IKO plc to set up the single ply division and has steered it to become a major player in UK and export markets. He has been an active member of the SPRA council for several years, and is looking forward to his new role. “I’ve enjoyed being part of SPRA’s Council,” says Anthony, “and I hope to continue and develop the good work Mike has put in during his term of office.”
Anthony took over the Chair on the 22nd of June in the annually held SPRA conference.
