The roles

Reporting to the Divisional Manager

These are technical sales roles dealing with construction professionals to promote the IKO range of products. You will also be dealing with projects from design to completion, with the main purpose of managing a specific sales area to achieve specification sales and gross margin objectives. We have vacancies in the North Home Counties, London and Berkshire.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to.
  • Develop and implement an area business plan to achieve sales and margin targets.
  • Monitor sales and margin performance against targets and KPIs.
  • Successfully implement the sales policy in conjunction with the Line Manager.
  • Liaise and co-operate with technical support to promote correct specifications.
  • Establish a good working relationship with IKO approved contractors.
  • Implement company policy at all times i.e. competition compliance.
  • Ensure good relationships with customers are maintained and enhanced.
  • Ability to plan journeys/routes according to customer locations and priorities.
  • Develop specification banks through sales efforts with specifiers and key clients.
  • Undertake sales/technical presentations to develop specification sales.
  • Provide site surveys and technical advice/guidance and prepare proposal specifications for prospective customers/projects.
  • Observe and analyse market intelligence and report on competitor activity to develop appropriate actions with the Line Manager.
  • Work with the Divisional Manager to establish a suitable approved contractor network within the business unit.
  • Retain responsibility for contractor accounts.
  • Utilise and update the company CRM.
  • Build rapport with internal departments.
