Roseberry Square East, London – IKO Polimar FCS
Project description
Roseberry Square East is a residential block of flats in Roseberry Avenue, London. There is a basement area used as commercial units, and above the units is an asphalt podium area, used as a recreation area by the residents.
The podium asphalt area had been covered with plastic tiles to form a decorative play area, but unfortunately the tiles were not anti-slip and trapped dirt beneath them, blocking outlets and creating ponding areas and damaging the asphalt.
Capital Roofing secured the project from consultant Brodie Plant & Goddard who specified IKO Polimar FCS Walkway waterproofing system.
Capital removed the plastic tiles from site and applied the IKO Polimar FCS Walkway system. The high performance cold applied, two part, fast curing waterproofing system was a perfect solution for this project as it cured within 20 minutes.
Also, being a self-levelling and slip resistant product, it enabled residents to come and go within minutes of it being applied.
With many years’ experience of working with Housing Associations, landlords, developers and homeowners themselves, IKO fully understand the need for a sensitive approach with minimal disruption to tenants, plus the ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
IKO Polimar FCS is a fast curing, highly durable and flexible slip resistant waterproof coating. Designed for a range of applications it provides a surface for balconies, walkways and other similar areas. Once applied, it is UV resistant, seamless, and resistant to dilute acids and alkalis, oil, petrol and diesel.
IKO Polimar FCS is available as an up to 15 year designed solution when installed by an IKO approved contractor.
