IKO PLC has been shortlisted in two categories for the upcoming National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) UK Roofing Awards 2020.
Chosen by an independent judging panel, the market-leaders of roofing, waterproofing and insulation products, has been selected in the Bituminous Hot Applied Liquid Waterproofing and Mastic Asphalt categories.
The shortlisted projects include the second phase development of New Waverley Station in Edinburgh with contractors, SPS Flat Roof Systems, and work on a private residence near Witney in Oxfordshire, with Oxford Asphalt.
Judges took into consideration a range of criteria including the degree of difficulty, aesthetics, problem-solving, health and safety, workmanship, and environmental qualities of products.
Shortlisted in the Bituminous Hot Applied Liquid Waterproofing, the new-build Waverley Station project saw the construction of a seven-level development comprising of two interlinked office buildings, providing 250,000 sq. ft. of ultra-modern Grade A office space.
A total of 5,000 sq. m. of IKO Permatec Hot Melt Waterproofing System was specified as the client required a robust, quick to install and versatile system which was adaptable to the varying interface details.
This fully bonded system with minimum risk of leaks and long-life expectancy ticked all the boxes on this project.
