IKO Easy Melt is a modified bonding bitumen supplied in 10kg blocks. Its shrink-wrapped block format offers safer handling and reduces waste on site.
IKO Easy Melt bonding bitumen is hot-applied and is used for bonding roofing membranes to themselves, as well as insulation materials and vapour control layers to a wide variety of substrates.
The bonding bitumen blocks are broken into pieces and placed straight into the bitumen boiler, including the polyethylene wrapper. There is no packaging to dispose of. They should be installed in accordance with the requirements of BS 8217:2005 / BS 8000:Part 4 on roofs not exceeding a 5° pitch.
