The Group Managing Director of IKO PLC, Anthony Carlyle, joined Ian Robinson, Chairman of Shevington Sharks ARLFC for the unveiling of a commemorative shirt.
Shevington Sharks is the third oldest amateur rugby club in the Wigan area which IKO PLC has been proud to sponsor for several years. The club had an incredibly successful season last year and six of the Under 16 players have been signed on professional contracts in 2019.
Ian Robinson, club chairman said: “We are very thankful for IKO’s continued support of the Shevington Sharks. It’s great to be recognised by a company which genuinely cares about the next generation of sporting talent, and we are looking forward to another successful season with IKO PLC as proud sponsors.”
Anthony Carlyle, Group Managing Director of IKO PLC added: “As a responsible employer, it’s really important to us as a company to support our local sports team and nurture young and enthusiastic sporting talent within the community. We are delighted to be presented with this shirt as part of our continued sponsorship of the Shevington Sharks.”
The new shirt was officially presented to sponsors IKO PLC at their Appley Bridge head office in April 2019.
