IKOpro Synthaprufe Original is a blend of bitumen emulsion and synthetic rubber latex.
It is a water-based cold liquid product applied in multiple coats by brush to provide a fully bonded damp proofing solution to solid vertical and horizontal substrates. It can also be used to form part of a structural waterproofing design to BS8102:2022.
IKOpro Synthaprufe Original is used for internal application to damp-proof masonry walls and concrete floors, before they receive plaster coats and sand/cement screed finishes, respectively.
It can also be applied externally below ground as part of a Type A Barrier structural waterproofing system, designed to conform to the requirements of BS8102:2022.
It is not suitable for use externally above ground and cannot be rendered.
