Meadow Lane Industrial Estate, Ellesmere Port – IKO Polimar
Meadow Lane Industrial Estate and Canal Bridge Enterprise Park comprise of a variety of light industrial units on the fringe of Ellesmere Port town centre. The appearance of the current cladding was in need of improvement and with the client requiring a specific colour, IKO were approached.
National Grid, Hinkley – IKO Polimar
The large National Grid commercial office facility in Brick Kiln Street, Hinckley, was to undergo a complete fit out in order to provide enhanced facilities for its employees. The site supports a contact centre and the network operations and strategy functions for the West Midlands, North West, East of England and North London.
Roseberry Square East, London – IKO Polimar FCS
Roseberry Square East is a residential block of flats in Roseberry Avenue, London. There is a basement area used as commercial units, and above the units is an asphalt podium area, used as a recreation area by the residents.
Trimpley Water Treatment Works – IKO Polimar
IKO were asked by Summers Inman to carry out a roof appraisal of 3 buildings at Trimpley WTW. The GAC, DAF and Clarifier Buildings. The plastisol sheets were showing certain signs of initial breakdown with reported water ingress to the building.
University of Warwick – IKO Polimar
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick is one of the top departments in the UK and is an international centre of excellence for Chemical Science. Over recent years, the University has invested in upgrading its facilities and these include a state of the art Undergraduate Teaching Laboratory.
Cotlandswick, Hertfordshire – IKO Polimar
The roofs on a number of 1960’s housing blocks in the Cotlandswick area of London Colney had reached the end of their useful life.
Conyers School, Stockton – IKO Polimar
Conyers School, a secondary school and sixth form with academy status in Stockton-on-Tees, benefited from an extensive roofing refurbishment programme. The school required a reliable waterproofing and protection of the school buildings.
James Clerk Maxwell Building – The University of Edinburgh – IKO Polimar
The University of Edinburgh required a first class waterproofing system, offering a prompt and trouble free installation for a flat roof requiring refurbishment. The comprehensive range of products IKO could offer consolidated into a single point guarantee was also a benefit.
Laverstock, Bournemouth – IKO Polimar
Laverstock is a residential block of flats and situated on the cliff tops overlooking the sea at Boscombe, Bournemouth. The concrete components of the staircases, which provide residents with access to the flats on the upper levels, had not been waterproofed when initially constructed in the 1930’s.
